Step into the resplendent world of Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam’s, Former President. Located on the Mosque Street in Rameshwaram, Dr Kalam’s house has been converted into a museum where you get a chance to trace his life from his childhood and early days as a research scientist to impeccable politician through photographs, poems, artefacts, and research works. The museum has built recently to commemorate Dr Kalam’s life, and thus, serves as a prominent tourist attraction in Tamil Nadu where you seize a glance into the remarkable life of many’s inspiration. Evidently, one of the best museums to visit in Tamilnadu, Dr Kalam House is a two-storey construction which proudly displays awards and various pictures of the ‘Missile Man’. First floor of the house is the transformed museum whereas, the second floor is turned into an art gallery. A part of the ground floor has been converted into a shop from where you can buy various handmade souvenirs and items made of seashells. However, the remaining part is prohibited for visitors, as Dr Kalam’s family is still residing there. Above all that, the talk of this enthralling museum is the beautiful reflection of the simplicity of the great Indian leader and his way of living.
