Hotel Description
Sunderban Jungle Camp offers guests an opportunity to explore the flora and fauna of the world's largest mangrove eco-systems, the Sunderbans. This eco-friendly resort is built in such a way that it overlooks a palm fringed pond. It features a dining hall built in ethnic style where delicious Bengali and Indian dishes are served to meet the culinary inclinations of the guests. Guests can enjoy various recreational activities such as bird watching, village walks, river cruises etc. The resort also has a Nature Interpretation Centre that offers an insight into the Sunderban ecosystem and stories related to it. The resort is conveniently located, and offers an easy access to Sunderban National Park.
Cottages in the resort have mud walls and thatched roofs that make them environment friendly. However, they are brick walled from outside, and have tin roofs for safety. The living units are luxuriously furnished from inside and are spotlessly clean.
Accoommodation : The resort features six mud cottages and two bungalows. The cottages are capable of accommodating up to 3 persons each while a bungalow can accommodate 4 persons.
Hotel Policies
If you cancel your booking, you have to provide a written cancellation request to the lodge. You will have to pay cancellation charges to the resort which will be applicable from the day we receive your written cancellation request. You will get a refund after deductions are made according to the given slab:
- 48 hours prior to arrival OR No Show: No Refund
- 07 days prior to arrival: 50% of the hotel booking amount
- 15 days prior to arrival: 25% of the hotel booking amount
- 45 days prior to arrival: 10% of the hotel booking amount
Useful Info
Kolkata airport is the nearest airport to the resort which is approx. 100 kms away. After reaching airport, you have to travel by road followed by travel by boat. Train route is not convenient and should be avoided. One can reach Sonakhali by bus from the airport, and then hire a boat.
