Counted among the seven holiest rivers in Hindu Religion, Narmada is a major river of Central India. It is believed that taking a plunge into this river helps the people in getting rid of their wrongdoings. There is a prominent mention of Narmada River in Mahabharata, Ramayana and Vedas. Narmada Parikrama thus, holds an immense significance among the Hindu devotees. Hordes of pilgrims perform a consecrated circumambulation of this river in order to get drenched in purity and spirituality. Many Sadhus and pilgrims come here on foot to perform this Parikrama.

This 16 nights and 17 days itinerary takes the tourists to a tour of Narmada Parikrama in a comprehensive way. It covers the journey in two states Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. The tour lets the pilgrims explore beautiful temples, sacred bathing sites and ashrams. The major holy sites that a tourist comes across en-route are Mahakaleshwar, Omkareshwar, Maheshwar, Ujjain, Amarkantak and Narmada Udgam.

On arrival at Indore airport / railway station meet with our representative and transfer to the hotel. After fresh-n-up proceed for sightseeing tour of Indore visiting Central Museum, Gomatgiri, Kanch Mandir, Khajrana and Lal Bagh Palace. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2

Indore - Maheshwar

Morning after breakfast leave for Maheshwar, upon reaching check in at hotel. After fresh-n-up proceed to visit Maheshwar temple and Fort. Enjoy boat ride at Narmada River. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3

Maheswar - Nemawar / Khategaon

Morning after breakfast proceed to Nemawar / Khategaon, upon reaching check in at hotel. Later visit Renuka Mata temple and Balmuk Seva Aashram. Overnight Khategaon.

Day 4

Kategon - Bareli

Morning after breakfast proceed to Bareli upon reaching check in at hotel. Later visit nearby temples, Ghats of Narmada River and you can visit local market of Bareli. Overnight Bareli.

Day 5

Bareli - Jabalpur

Morning after breakfast proceed to Jabalpur. Arrive Jabalpur & visit Bhedaghat, Dhuandhar waterfalls, Tripur Sundar Temple, Gwari Ghat & Madan Mahal fort. Overnight Jabalpur.

Day 6

Jabalpur - Shahdol

Morning after breakfast proceed to Shahdol, Afternoon check in. Later visit The Virateshwar Temple in Sohagpur Vangana is the most important tourist destination of Shahdol and a structural masterpiece. Overnight Shahdol.

Day 7

Shahdol - Amarkantak

Morning after breakfast proceed to Amarkantak, also known as Tirthraj or (the King of Pilgrimages). Later visit Kapildhara waterfalls and the other temples, places nearby. Overnight Amarkantak.

Day 8

Amarkantak - Mandla

Morning after breakfast visit Mai ki Bagiya temple & Narmada kund. After visits drive to Mandla, upon reaching Mandla check in at your hotel. Overnight Mandla.

Day 9

Mandla - Narsinghpur / Pachmarhi

Morning after breakfast proceed to Pachmahri, upon reaching check in at hotel.Later visit Jata Shankar temple & Pachmarhi local market. Overnight Pachmarhi.

Day 10

Pachmarhi - Hoshangabad

Morning after breakfast proceed to Hoshangabad. Upon arrival visit nearby temple, Ghat on Narmada River. Overnight Hoshangabad

Day 11

Hoshangabad - Omkareshwar

Morning after breakfast proceed to Omkareshwar. Afternoon visit OmkarMandhata temple & enjoy boat ride at river Narmada. Overnight Omkareshwar.

Day 12

Omkareshwar - Barwani

Morning after breakfast proceed to Barwani. Later visit nearby temple, Ghats of Narmada River Overnight Barwani.

Day 13

Barwani - Shahada

Morning after breakfast proceed to Shahada. Afternoon visit the excavation site of Prakasha Village and the religious village of Dakshin Kashi which are the two prime attractions here. Overnight Shahada.

Day 14

Shahada - Bharuch

Morning after breakfast proceed to Baruch via visiting Ankleshwar & Vamleshwar Katpur. It is placed on the meeting points of the Arabian Sea and the pious Narmada River. Overnight Bharuch.

Day 15

Bharuch - Godhra

Morning after breakfast checkout fromhotel and proceed to Kukshi/Godhra. Upon arrival visit nearby temples, Ghat of Narmada River. Overnight Godhra.

Day 16

Godhra - Ujjain

Morning after breakfast checkout from hotel and proceed to Ujain, upon reaching Uijain check in at your hotel, later visit Mahakaleshwar temple, Kal Bhairav temple & Har Siddhi temple.Overnight Ujjain.

Day 17

Ujjain Indore

Morning after breakfast checkout from hotel and transfer to Indore. You will drop at airport/ railway station.
