The park also house a historical pond, which was built by a merchant Lawar Jawahar Lala in the year 1714.

Suraj Kund Park can be visited throughout the year. However, the best time to visit the place is the winter season. Commencing from November, winter season enjoys cool and pleasant weather condition which is quite favourable for tourism. The season ends in the month of February.
