This enchanting Buddhist place of worship, Serdup Choling Monastery is one of the best attractions to visit in Namchi. It is located against a scenic backdrop of Mount Khangchendzonga walled in by monks’ quarter. Serdup Choling Monastery came into existence in the year 1967 by a combined efforts put by late Serdup Dungzin Jigme Wangchuk Rinpoche and late Khachoed Tulku Dudjom Dorjee. Inside the premises of the main shrine, a wonderful display of three statues of Guru Rimpoche, Santaraksita and Tri Detson can be seen. The monastery is also adorned by the prayer flags on the outside and the wall paintings of Guru Padmasambhava indoors. The monastery observes all the holy ceremonies considered important by the Buddhist community.
Getting There
Serdup Choling Monastery is located a kilometre from Namchi and you can get plenty of taxis to get to the attraction. Since the distance is less, one can also choose to walk to the monastery.

Things to do and see
This attraction displays three prominent statues popularly known as Khen Lob Chok Sum. Here, you can witness the statue of Khen known referred to Santaraksita, Lob referred to Guru Padmasambhava and Chok referred to Chogyal. Inside the premises, you can also see the many wall paintings of Guru Padmasambhava.
