Eastern Himalayan Traverse

After breakfast at the hotel, get ready for the city sightseeing tour. Today, you will be visiting Mangal Dham (a divine memorial); Dr. Graham's Home (a beautiful colonial house), Lord Buddha Statue & Park, Zelepla View Point, Pine View Nurseri and Kali Temple. After the sightseeing tour, return to the hotel for dinner followed by an overnight stay.

Early morning, embark on a jeep journey to reach Tiger Hill (8,400 ft.), which is famed for offering the view of Mt. Khangchendzongha (28,208 ft), the third largest peak in the world. After spending few minutes at the tiger hill, you will be going back to the hotel via Ghum Monastery and Batasia Loop. At the hotel, you will indulge in a hearty meal and then embark on a drive to explore further attractions of Darjeeling. Today, you will be going to explore Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre, Tea Garden, Ropeway and Japanese Temple. The highlight of the day will be a ropeway, from where you can enjoy the spectacular view of valley bedded with lush green tea gardens and dense forest. The evening will be free for leisure. Also, you can go shopping and pick up some flavourful tea and Tibetan artifacts. Afterward, return to hotel for overnight stay and dinner.

On this day, after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Pelling (6,300 ft.) via Singla check post. There no better place in Sikkim to see the dazzling view of Kanchenjunga than the Singla check post. On arrival in Pelling, you will be transferred to a hotel for an overnight stay.

Early morning, treat yourself to the most beautiful view of mountains from your hotel window. Today, you will be going for a sightseeing tour of the city. In the first half of the day, you will visit - Darap village, Rimbi water Falls, Khecheopalri Lake & Khangchendzongha waterfalls. While in the second half, you will uncover prime attractions like Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdantse Ruins, New Helipad Ground. Once the sightseeing tour is over, you will head to the hotel for a scrumptious dinner and stay.

After a lavish breakfast at the hotel, en route to Gangtok. During this 105 km long journey, you will enjoy a short stopover at Namchi and visit Temi Tea Garden, Samdruptse & Siddheshwar Dham (Chardham). Following the sightseeing tour, continue your drive to Gangtok. Upon arrival in Gangtok, you will be transferred to a hotel for overnight stay and dinner.

Kick-start your day with a hearty meal as today is going to be a fun day. According to your pre-decided schedule, you will be visiting Tsomgo Lake (12,400 Feet). According to one of the myth, it is supposed that in ancient times, Buddhist monks study the colour of lake's water to predict the future. After spending few minutes at the lake, you will visit the Baba Mandir (13,200 Feet), a temple made by the Indian Army to pay tribute to Harbhajan Singh. Dinner and Overnight stay at Gangtok.

P.S: In the case of the landslide, you won't be able to reach Tsomgo Lake (12,400 Feet), thus, an alternative will be arranged for you.

After breakfast check out from the hotel with limited luggage and proceed to Lachung (8,700 ft.), North Sikkim. On the way take a break for some beautiful spots which are worth seeing and visiting like Naga Waterfall, The Confluence of Lachen Chu (River) & Lachung Chu (River) at Chungthang and Bhim Nala Waterfall. On arrival at Lachung check into your hotel. Dinner & Overnight stay at Lachung.

Next day, start with an early morning breakfast and drive to Yumthang Valley. The one hour drive to beautiful Yumthang crosses through the famous hot spring known for its curative properties of skin diseases. The movement you will step in the vicinity of the valley, you will be thrilled to see the riots of colours. The pastures of tall wildflowers are a glorious sight on a sunny day. Yumthang Valley is home to Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary, which has over 24 species of the state flower rhododendron. Thereupon, you will visit the hot spring. After your visit is concluded, continue to drive to Gangtok via Singhik viewpoint. On arrival in Gangtok, check in the hotel and enjoy the overnight stay.

After breakfast proceed to Gangtok (5,500 ft.). On the way, if the weather is clear, you may get to see Mighty Khangchendzonga from Singhik viewpoint. On arrival at Gangtok check-in to your hotel. Rest of the evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

After a lavish rest, get up in Morning for breakfast. After concluding your meal, pack your bags as your ride awaits. Get your ride back to Siliguri / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB). Return home with cherished memories of North Sikkim tour.
