Fotu La Pass is the highest point on the Srinagar Leh Highway, but is counted among the tourist attractions of Ladakh for its wonderful photography opportunities. It is located at an altitude of 4,108 meters on the way from Heniskot to Lamayuru.
Fotu La Pass should be visited because it is the highest point on the Srinagar Leh Highway and offers excellent opportunities for photography. Although the pass itself is paved with a thick layer of tarmac, it can get pretty challenging at some points.
On the way towards the Fotu La Pass, you will pass lunar-like landscapes, which means the kind of landscape which you may have seen in pictures of the moon. As you drive further, the excellent views of the snowclad mountain ranges greet your eyes.
