Cachar Paper Mill, as the name suggests in a paper mill located in Hailakandi district of Assam. It is famous as it is the only industrial undertaking in entire south Assam and nearby districts of Mizoram.
Though there is a lack of adequate of infrastructural support, Cachar Paper Mill has shown steady improvement since its establishment. However, off late, the mill is facing financial issues.
It is located along the banks of River Barak in the census town of Panchgram which happens to be one of the finest townships in Assam.

Winter is the best time to visit Cachar Paper Mill. Assam is beautiful during this time and the weather is pleasant as well. Monsoons are unpredictable and landslides are common during this time. Summers are very hot.
