Arwa Tower Peak Climbing Expedition
Standing tall in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, Arwa Tower is amongst the most challenging expeditions in the region. The tower is a prominent member of the Arwa Group of Peaks and has been an anticipated climb for the trekkers and mountaineers. Recognized as a Needle Peak, Arwa Tower stands 6325m tall. The trek for Arwa Tower trek begins from Badrinath, it takes about 38 days in total to accomplish this arduous trek with 19 days completely dedicated to summit bid. Here is the detailed itinerary providing necessary insight on the expedition:
Day 1: Arrive Delhi
Upon arrival at Delhi airport, our representative will greet and will further assist in transferring you to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Delhi
After the breakfast, we shall visit the Indian Mountaineering foundation (IMF). Here, a meeting will be arranged with the climbing expert. Overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 3: Delhi - Rishikesh (230km/6hrs approx)
After the breakfast, we shall drive to Rishikesh via Haridwar. Lunch will be provided en route. Upon arrival at Rishikesh, we will check-in at the pre booked hotel. Evening will be left free for you to explore the nearby places on your own. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Rishikesh - Joshimath (240km/ 8-9hrs)
Today, we shall drive to Joshimath via Devprayag after early breakfast. We will stop for a short visit to Devprayag, where Rivers like Bhagirathi and Alaknanda confluence to form the sacred river Ganga. By evening, we will arrive at our destination, Joshimath and shall check-in to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Joshimath
We shall visit the forest/National Park office for mandatory documentations. Overnight at the hotel in Joshimath.
Day 6: Joshimath - Badrinath (45 kms/2 hrs)
In the morning today, we will drive to Badrinath. On arriving at Badrinath, you will be taken to the pre-booked hotel. In the afternoon, we shall be meeting our climbing expedition crew like Guide, Cook, Porters etc. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7: Badrinath - Mana - Ghastoli (3796 m/12450 ft)
After visiting the temple in Badrinath early in the morning, we shall be driving to Mana Village (3 kms), from where trekking will begin to Ghastoli. The ascent is steep but is full of the scenic beauty. On arrival at Ghastoli, we will set our camp for overnight stay.
Day 8: Ghastoli - Arwa Tal (16 kms / 5-6 hrs).
After breakfast today, we will trek to Arwa Valley, which is a steep ascent trail. On arrival at Arwa Valley, we shall set out camp for overnight stay.
Day 9: Arwa Tal (BC) 4350m
From Arwa Valley, we will be trekking to Arwa Tal, which is the base camp for Arwa Tower.
Day 10: BC - ABC
Today, we will be trekking from Arwa Tal Base Camp to Advance Base Camp for Arwa Tower.
Day 11: ABC (5800 mts)
You will be given a day off to rest and to acclimatize.
Day 12 - Day 31: Climbing Expedition to Arwa Tower
It will take at least 19 days to complete the Arwa Tower climbing expedition.
Day 32: ABC - BC
After reaching the Advance Base Camp, we will begin our trek back to Base Camp.
Day 33: Base Camp
On arriving at Base Camp, overnight stay will be arranged here.
Day 34: BC - Ghastoli
Today we shall trek back to Ghastoli. Overnight stay at the camp at Ghastoli.
Day 35: Ghastoli - Badrinath - Joshimath
After the breakfast, we shall trek back to Joshimath via Badrinath. Overnight stay at Joshimath.
Day 36: Joshimath - Rishikesh
A drive to Rishikesh will be arranged for today. Overnight stay in the hotel at Rishikesh.
Day 37: Rishikesh - Delhi (230km/6hrs approx)
Drive from Rishikesh to Delhi via Haridwar. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 38: Delhi Departure
In the morning after breakfast visit the IMF for debriefing and later back to hotel to relax. In the evening transfer to airport for international flight.
