Another renowned sacred site in Varanasi that completes the pilgrimage circuit of the city is Tulsi Manas Temple. Dedicated to Lord Rama, the temple was built by Sureka family of Banaras. The entire structure of the temple is made of white marble and has beautiful architecture. Inside the temple, the idols of Lord Rama, his brother Lakshman and consort Sita have been installed. The image of Lord Hanuman can also be seen inside the temple. One of the star highlights of the temple is a wall on which various scenes from the Hindu epic, Ramayana, have been beautifully depicted. Opening & Closing Timings
The temple of Tulsi Manas remains open all days, i.e., from Sunday to Saturday. However, the operating hours of the temple are:
- Morning Hours: 5:30 AM to 12:00 PM
- Evening Hours: 3:30 PM to 9:00 PM
At the temple, the aarti is observed twice a day. The morning aarti takes place at 6:00 AM and evening aarti at 4:00 PM.
