Japanese Temple Sarnath

The striking structure of the temple resembles the internationally renowned Japanese temples in Kyoto, Japan. Just before the entrance of the main shrine, there is a statue of Lord Buddha beneath a tree on the right side. Whereas, on the left side, Japenese inscription can be seen written on a pillar. Inside the main temple, there is an imposing wooden sculpture of the reclining Buddha. All the wooden sculptures and items at this very famous Buddhist temple in Sarnath are made up of sandalwood.
