How to Reach Mathura

Located in Uttar Pradesh, reaching Mathura is quite easy through the rail, road or the air. Amongst the three major means of transport, a train journey is the most comfortable one if you are travelling from far-off destinations in India since Mathura has its own railway station. Although, the city has good road connectivity as well.

The nearest airport is in Agra, however, the airport doesn’t operate flights to all major destinations. Therefore, the nearest airport with good connectivity is Indira Gandhi Airport in Delhi, which is 170 km by road. You can easily find buses and taxi to reach Mathura.

BY TRAIN:

Mathura Junction is the major railhead in Mathura. Mathura Junction is a major railway station, well connected to other major cities in India including Delhi, Kolkata, Lucknow and Agra.

BY ROAD:

Mathura is well-connected by roads with major National Highway passing through the city. You can reach Mathura from either side. State-run buses are operated from Delhi and Lucknow to reach Mathura.
