One of the recent additions in the tourism scene of Prayagraj, Ganga Gallery was founded on 15th April 2011. The main motive of creating this place to visit in the city was to raise awareness amongst the people regarding the restoration and conservation of River Ganges. The gallery was established by National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI) who have ensured to highlight the economic, cultural, socio-scientific related and religious aspects of the Ganga River.

With the support of National Council of Science Museum along with the Department of Science and Technology, this unique gallery/museum in Prayagraj houses scientifically installed exhibits that proffer an aesthetic view of all the aspects of River Ganga.
