The International Yoga Festival in Uttarakhand is the celebration of the relaxing and reviving art of Yoga. The word Yoga which holds so much importance in the lives of people all over the world was given expression by the great Patanjali. Essentially, Yoga was unfolded as a way to reach full conformity throughout one's body, mind, and soul. The Festival for the very first time took place in 1999 in Rishikesh which is renowned as the 'Yoga Capital of the World' and happen every year in Parmarth Niketan Ashram. Vinyasa Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Raja Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga are some of the routines that are taught and offered in the Festival.
The Yoga Festival takes place over a week starting from 4:00 AM until the post-dusk time of 9:30 PM and it's for sure the best way to bring your natural self back. The initial classes were taken by the revered Pujya Shri Swami Veda Bharat Ji whereas the posture lessons were guided by Yogacharya Shri Bharat Bhushan Ji. Till this date the best Yoga Festival addressed is the one which was held in 2010 where the Yoga Capital saw a huge number of influencers and participants taking part in the practice to relieve one's mind and soul from stress and pain of day to day life.

- The Festival is a mixture of 70 hours of Yoga, spiritually captivating Kirtan and devoting time to spiritual gurus.
- The classes start from 4:00 AM and last till 9:30 PM.
