Primarily, a pilgrimage site and tourist destination in Tamilnadu, Thiruvannamalai is best to visit in between the month of November and March, i.e., the winter season. The summer season, on the other hand, is inclined to hot and dry weather whereas, in the monsoon months, the town receives a heavy rainfall. This makes the two seasons not quite ideal to visit the town.

Summer

The months of summer season in Thiruvannamalai are mainly from March to May. During this time the temperature varies from 26°C to 41°C.  Due to hot and dry weather, it becomes difficult to visit Thiruvannamalai in summer.

Monsoon

Monsoon in Thiruvannamalai commences in the month of June and ends in September. Winter
