However, the ideal seasons to plan a trip here are summer and winter. Monsoon is not that appropriate for tourism in Kanyakumari as the town experiences a heavy rainfall during this time.

Summers

The month of March marks the summer season in Kanyakumari which continues till June. The temperature during these months varies in between 22°C and 35°C which remains moderately hot. Summer is the best season to enjoy the thrill of swimming and surfing in Kanyakumari.

Monsoon

Monsoon in Kanyakumari starts in June and ends in September. Kanyakumari experiences a heavy rainfall and thunderstorm during monsoon time, and thus, the season is much favourable to visit the town. Moreover, the town also records a downfall in temperature during these months.

Winter

Winter in Kanyakumari is a bit like summer only. The month of December marks the onset of winter season in Kanyakumari which lasts till February. During this time, the temperature of the town is recorded in between 17°C and 32°C. At evening, due to cool sea winds, the temperature dips a bit but not much.
