Sewaro Rock Garden, is a natural hermitage developed by the department of tourism of Sikkim and it has become one of the popular tourist attractions in Sikkim. The winding paths exploring the lush green landscape enriched with flowery fields and well-groomed trees; the chirping of the colorful birds giving a tuneful company along; and the gushing water of Teesta river enthusiastically making its way through the tough rocks, are the features that make this place a favorite picnic spot for the families especially with kids. The Sikkim department of tourism has also added few engaging amenities like swimming pools, well-stocked cafeterias as well as vantage points for stunning view of shrubby hills underneath pitch blue sky.
What To Do And See
From Sewaro Rock Garden, tourists can further walk down 5 km to the scenic Darap village to witness the culture and traditional lifestyle of the Limboo Community. A short trek from the village leads to Nambu; holiest cave where once Guru Padmasambhava had meditated. Few kilometers towards Yuksum there is very scenic Rimbi waterfall that further meets to Rimbi River. The peace seekers can visit the enchanting Khecheopalri lake near to the sacred Khecheopalri hill, popular for fulfilling the wishes. Whereas for the people interested to dig on to the royal past of Sikkim can visit Rabdentse Ruins enjoying the scenic view of Mt. Khangchendzonga. Near to this place there is a 240 m long Singshore Bridge that offers the breathtaking view of the waterfalls and the lush green slopes of the hills. There are few very popular monasteries such as Rabdentse Monastery, the Pemayangtse Monastery, and Sangachoeling Monastery that tourist can never forget to pay the visit to while on this road.

The Sewaro Rock Garden is about 12 km (48 min) distance away from Pelling. There are shared jeeps available from Pelling or one can even hire a private taxi if he wishes to explore the nearby attractions as well.

The best time to visit this place is during summer from March to May when the weather is fairly pleasant. The visiting hours for this place is from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm (Daily).
