Kewzing Village is situated at an altitude of 1402 m near Ravangla in South Sikkim, offering spectacular views of Mt. Narsing and Mt. Kabru. This gorgeous hamlet is tucked amidst the serenity of the far hill covered with thick chestnut forest away from the hubbub of the city life. It is inhabited by the Lepchas securing their colorful culture and simplicity while actively participating along with the initiative of Kewzing Tourism Development Committee [KTDC] and a local NGO, Sikkim Development Foundation (SDF), in the popularization of village tourism. It provides an attractive opportunity of being the guest of one of the local houses and experience their warm hospitality and rural life. Kewzing Village is a safe haven for the varieties of birds and animals nurturing in their natural habitat. Visiting to this nature’s paradise, one gets rejuvenated and revived, beholding the magnificent views of the mountains underneath the painted sky.
What To Do And See
The situation of this place surround it with monasteries from all four sides. About 2 km away towards its north is the Bon Monastery, Tashiding monastery in the south-west, Mangbrue and Pemayangtse Monastery in West, Ralong and Ravangla monastery in southeast and Doling and Kyosing Monastery in east. Few villages around like Doling Village, Barfung Village, Bakhim Village and Mambru Village can be visited to witness the rural life and their seeped in culture and tradition. For the wildlife lovers, the Maenam Wildlife Sanctuary and Tendong State Biodiversity Park is like an icing on the cake while exploring the exciting treks of Tendong Hill and Maenam Hill, that are just 34 km away from Kewzing village. The history buffs can dig into the past on their visit to the caves of Khandosangphu and Sharchog Bephug and the nearby Ralong and Borong Hot Springs situated just 7 km away from each other. The only tea garden of Sikkim; Temi Tea Estate is tourist hotspot because of it naturally blessed surroundings and the learning about the processing of the tea. There various popular tourist destination of Pelling which are quite close to Kewzing Village such as the Rimbi Waterfalls, Sewaro Rock Garden, Khecheopalri Lake, Rabdentse Ruins, and Khangchendzonga Waterfalls.
Getting there :
Kewzing Village is located on the legship and Ravangla Highway, closest to Ravangla (9 km). Whereas Legship is just about 16 km from it. Ravangla can be reached by Bus / Shared Taxis from major towns like Namchi, Pelling or Gangtok. From where one can hire a private taxi to reach Kewzing.

Kewzing Village is blessed with pleasing weather during the months of March-May. Hence it is the best time to explore this beautiful village and its tranquility.
