Best Time to Visit Zunheboto Nagaland

Due to its high altitude, the district enjoys rain almost throughout the year. The winters remain quite cold here and the summers are warm. Thus, the months between October to March are ideal to plan a visit in Zunheboto.

Summer

Summer season remains moderately warm but the rain intervenes and brings the temperature down. The highest temperature recorded here has been 22 degrees Celsius during the summer.

Monsoon

Though it rains for 9 months in Zunheboto, the heaviest rainfall can be seen during the months of July and August. It is advisable to avoid this season for planning a visit.

Winter

The months of December and January are the coldest with the mercury dipping down to 10 Degree Celsius, though, this part of the year is the best time to visit Zunheboto. Carrying heavy woollens is advisable.
