Sahastrakund Waterfall Nanded

Dropping down from a height of 50 feet, Sahastrakund waterfall is an amazing to be for all those who are in need to seek relaxation and rejuvenation. No wonder, the place is open for tourists throughout the year but the best time to see would be monsoon as this is when one can see its ghushing water splashing on one of its kind black stones that are hard to find anywhere in Maharashtra. For the best view of the waterfall, do climb on the long ramp on the one side of the waterfall. Also, there's a watch tower that offers nothing less than a breathtaking view of the waterfall.

Getting There

Since Sahatrakund Waterfall is approximately 100 kilometers from Nanded, it would be good to take personal car or travel by bus. To reach the main point from where the waterfall can be seen, one has to walk. Sometimes the road to the bridge becomes inaccessible for four wheelers, but it can be walked down (20 mins one way). It is not advised to get into the water due to the heavy flow and sharp rocks.
