How To Reach Thrissur

Thrissur as an important travel destination in Kerala is well-connected with all major cities of the state as well as neighbouring state. Since the city is only 55 kms from Cochin, it enjoys good connectivity by air as well. Thus, visitors can easily reach Thrissur from any part of the country.

By Air:

The Cochin Airport is approximately 55 km away from Thrissur. Other airport which is close to Thrissur is the Kozhikode/Calicut airport.

By Rail:

Thrissur has its own railhead, connecting with all major places in India. A few popular trains that pass through this region include Trivandrum Mail (from Chennai Central), Kerala Express (from New Delhi Railway Station) and Mumbai-Kanyakumari Express (from Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus).

By Road:

There are regular buses available from major cities like Chennai (13 hours), Kozhikode (3 ½ hours), Kochi (3 hours), Thiruvananthapuram (8 hours), Kottayam and Palakkad (1 ½ hours), which ply to Thrissur.
