The Goalpara district of Assam located at the foothills of Meghalaya is endowed with natural beauty and serene environment. Here one can see the tomb that had been constructed in the memory of the dead Pir named Hazarat Sayed Abul Kasem Kharasani of the Muslim community. Sayed Abul Kasem was a great saint who was born at a place named Fatima Killa. During his early age he had set off to accomplish a spiritual journey in our country and he reached a place named Rangpur which is presently at Bangladesh. He often visited the Goalpara district to preach people living here. The tomb is amidst the backdrop of evergreen forests and vivid landscape.
