Madhab Than Nagaon

Sri Sri Madhab Than is a holy place and a pilgrim center which is dedicated to Lord Krishna. The temple is situated in the centre of Assam in the district of Nagaon with prominence amongst pilgrims. The locality where the temple is situated is known to be Kampur. The temple is an important place where Madhavdeb, the preceptor of the Ekasarana Dharma or Shelter in one religion followed the same. He was great devotee and follower of the renowned saint Srimanta Sankardev.

Getting There

The pilgrim centre is well connected with the Nagaon district and regular Assam State Transport Corporation buses run to and fro. You will also get taxis on rental basis from the nearby bus stands and towns to reach the place in less time.

During winter season it is best to visit Nagaon district and the temple as well. The weather is pleasant at that time and you can find greenery and serenity around.
