When does Tadoba Park open and close for tourists ?

During monsoon season Tadoba National Park receives heavy rainfall making the safari routes challenging to follow. Thus, the park remains closed for the period of three to four months in monsoon.

What are the best types of safaris in Tadoba ?

Tadoba offers two main types of safaris: Jeep Safari and Canter Safari are two means to explore the park. Jeep Safaris include a 4x4 gypsy vehicle carrying a maximum of six individuals, hence providing good view of the wildlife. Canter Safaris are bigger as they can accommodate up to 20 people and cheaper than the Jeep. These safaris are done both inside and outside the park's core area, providing a good chance to see tigers, leopards, and other animals.

A multitude of accommodation options are available around Tadoba. Visitors have options from luxury resorts to low budget lodges. There are also some state owned and run guest houses, small eco-lodges and private lodges close to the park boundaries.

What is the Best Time to Visit Tadoba ?

The best time to visit Tadoba National Park depends on whether you are focused on maximum animal sighting chances or a comfortable experience.

For having maximum chances to spot tigers or other animals, summer is the best time to visit. Summer narrows down the scouting region as most animals wander around the constricted water sources in summer.

For the most pleasing experience, mid-Jan to mid-March and mid-Oct to mid-Dec is the best time to visit Tadoba National Park.

Great Holiday in North India
Just returned from a 12 day trip which included Delhi , Agra, Ranthambore, Jhansi and Khahjuraho. All arrangements worked brilliantly and hotels were great. We were lucky enough to see a tiger in Ranthambore - one of the trip's highlights. All the hotels were very comfortable and service very good. Our thanks to Naveen for organising the trip , and also to our wonderful driver Visht. Visht was always on time, proactive, polite and helpful, and an excellent driver.
