Buddhist Circuit Tourist Train Package

Discover the path of enlightenment in the abode of Lord Buddha with Buddhist Circuit Tourist Train, the journey takes the travellers on a spiritual tour. The Buddhist Circuit Tourist Train lets the tourists come across sacred places with a visit to the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites including Lumbini where the Buddha was born, Bodhgaya where he became enlightened, Sarnath where he first preached and Kushinagar where he achieved Nirvana.  A journey in the Buddhist Circuit Tourist Train let the tourists come and delve into the tranquility and serenity of the destinations that are covered by the train. Starting the journey from Delhi, the train takes the tourists through some awe-inspiring points of interests in India and Nepal. Upon reaching Bodhgaya, tourists can indulge in seeking blessings at Mahabodhi Temple which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, sit and relax beside the Lilajan River. The Buddhist Circuit Tourist Train takes the tourist next to Nalanda and Varanasi where they can indulge in the sightseeing tour and witness some of the temples and museum. Upon reaching Lumbini, tourists get to explore the Buddhist pilgrimage site with the tourist attractions including Maya Devi Temple and Ashokan Temple. Next, the Buddhist Circuit Tourist Train takes the tourists to Kushinagar which is yet another spiritual site and give the travellers an opportunity to seek blessings at the temples. The next destination of the journey will be Agra after Sravasti. Upon reaching Agra, tourist will get the opportunity to explore the epitome of love i.e., Taj Mahal. Explore Detailed Itinerary Below

Day 1: Delhi The City of a Million Dreams

  • On being in Delhi, assemble at the Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station to board the Buddhist Circuit Tourist Train.
  • Once the on-boarding process is done, the train will depart for Gaya.
  • Dinner will be served on-board the train.

Day 2: Gaya to Bodhgaya

  • In the morning, tea will be served. Freshen-up on-board followed by breakfast.
  • Upon arriving at Gaya, get down at the railway station and depart to Bodhgaya by coach.
  • Arriving at Bodhgaya, check-in at the hotel. Relax for a while after the scrumptious lunch provided at the hotel.
  • Post-lunch, proceed for sightseeing tour of Bodhgaya including the Mahabodhi Temple which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Lilajan River which also popular by its older name Niranjana River. Continue with sightseeing tour to the Thai Temple, Japanese Temple and Buddha Statue.
  • Once done with the sightseeing tour, head back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Bodhgaya to Rajgir to Nalanda to Gaya to Varanasi

  • In the morning, post-breakfast check-out from the hotel and head to Rajgir by coach.
  • Upon arriving at Rajgir, indulge in sightseeing tour which includes Bimbisara Jail, Gridhakuta Hill and Venuvan.
  • Once done with sightseeing, proceed for lunch at local restaurant at Rajgir.
  • Post-lunch, proceed to Nalanda by coach.
  • Upon arrival at Nalanda, indulge in the sightseeing covering of the ruins of the world and most importantly the Nalanda University and Nalanda Museum.
  • Once done with sightseeing tour in Nalanda, proceed to Gaya railway station.
  • After boarding the train, dinner will be served followed by departing for Varanasi.

Day 4: Varanasi to Sarnath to Nautanwa

  • In the morning after having tea and breakfast on-board, arrive at Varanasi.
  • Disembark the train and proceed to Sarnath covering a distance of approx 10 km.
  • Upon arriving at Sarnath, indulge in sightseeing tour which includes Dhamekh Stupa, Sarnath Museum, Ashokan Pillar and Mulagandha Kuti Vihar.
  • Once done with sightseeing tour, proceed for lunch at the local restaurant.
  • Post-lunch, head to river Ganges for witnessing the evening Aarti.
  • Head to railway station to board a train for Nautanwa to visit Lumbini.
  • Dinner will be served on-board.

Day 5: Nautanwa to Lumbini

  • In the morning, after having tea and breakfast on board, you will reach Nautanwa.
  • Getting down at the Nautanwa Railway Station, proceed to Lumbini, Nepal by coach. Tourists are suggested to keep their passport and visa ready. If Nepal visa is not issues, it is recommended to carry along the visa fees with passport size photographs.
  • Upon reaching Lumbini, check-in at the hotel for keeping the valuables and have lunch.
  • Post-lunch proceed for sightseeing in Lumbini which includes Maya Devi Temple and Ashokan Temple.
  • Once done with the sightseeing tour, head back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Lumbini to Kushinagar to Gorakhpur

  • Post-breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed to Kushinagar by coach.
  • Upon arrival at Kushinagar, proceed for lunch at the local restaurant.
  • Once done with lunch, proceed for sightseeing tour at Kushinagar including Mahaparinirvan Temple, Ramabhar Stupa, Kutir Temple and other sites.
  • After you have completed the sightseeing tour, proceed to Gorakhpur by coach.
  • Upon arrival at Gorakhpur railway station, depart to Balrampur by Buddhist Train.
  • Dinner will be served on-board.

Day 7: Balrampur to Sravasti to Balrampur to Agra

  • In the morning after having tea, reach Balrampur.
  • Getting down at the Balrampur railway station, proceed to Sravasti by coach covering a distance of approx 30 km.
  • Upon arriving at Sravasti, proceed for breakfast at the local restaurant.
  • Once done with breakfast, proceed for sightseeing tour which includes Jetavana Vihara, Pakki Kuti and Sehat Mehnat. Meanwhile, have lunch at the local restaurant.
  • After completing the sightseeing tour at Sravasti, proceed to Balrampur Railway Station to proceed for Agra.
  • Dinner will be served on-board.

Day 8: Agra to Delhi

  • In the morning, after having tea, you will reach Agra city railway station.
  • Breakfast will be on-board. Get freshen-up and get down at the station to proceed for the sightseeing tour at Agra that includes the World Famous Taj Mahal.
  • Once done with sightseeing, head to Agra Cantt. Railway Station  to depart for Delhi.
  • Lunch and tea will be served on-board.
  • In the evening, you will arrive at Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station.

Bodhgaya

Stepping into the land of Nirvana takes the tourist to an altogether different world in itself.  Pilgrims from across the globe visit Bodhgaya to pay homage in the monasteries, shrines and temples. In addition to this, what holds the attention of the tourists is the magnificent statue of Buddha that stands imposing, leaving one spellbound. A visit to Bodh Gaya lets one indulge in learning about the culture of Indian religious philosophies along with architectural masterpieces that is no less than a treat to the eyes.

Rajgir

A place carrying the hints of spirituality and vibrant hues of the history, Rajgir houses many religious places that are majorly dedicated to Buddhism and Jainism. With beautiful sceneries all around the city, tourists get the opportunity to lose themselves amidst the green valley that is surrounded by rocky hills. The reason why Rajgir has attained huge spiritual and religious importance is because of the the belief that Lord Buddha and Lord Mahavira have said to spend time here.

Nalanda

Wrapped in a wisp of spirituality, Nalanda is the ancient seat of knowledge that offers different elements including the vibrant substance of spirituality, history, culture, architecture, and tourism. Even though it is in the ruin, still Nalanda has managed to present a pretty picture that grabs the attention of the tourists visiting day in and day out. Sarnath

Lumbini
