How to Reach Sarpang?
Being one of the tourist destinations in Bhutan, Sarpang is accessible by both airways and roadways. The most convenient and best way to reach is by air but for those who love to enjoy watching the scenic beauty can plan to travel by road.
By Air
The domestic airport is located at Gelephu, a town in Sarpang District. The airport has flight connectivity (Druk Air) to Paro. Paro Airport is the sole international airport of Bhutan and has well flight connectivity to countries like India, Nepal, Thailand, Singapore and Bangladesh. Tourists can board a flight to Paro and then to Gelephu. Upon reaching Gelephu, tourists can book a cab to reach the desired destination in Sarpang.
By Road
Tourists who wish to travel by road can take a bus from Thimphu. Several buses ply to and from Gelephu, a town in Sarpang District on a daily basis. Besides this, buses from Wangdue Phodrang to Gelephu runs on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at around 8:00 AM. Punakha is yet another destination from where tourists can avail bus service which runs on an alternate day basis. Booking a cab from Thimphu is also an ideal option to reach Sarpang.
