One must take a flight to Paro, Bhutan’s only international airport, to reach Chukha. Owing to the high mountain peaks that surround this airport, it is listed among the world’s most dangerous airports. You can fly here via connecting as well as direct flights from Delhi, Siliguri, Kolkata, Guwahati and Siliguri. Druk Airlines also connects Bangkok, Kathmandu, Singapore and Dhaka to Bhutan. After you have landed, you can continue your journey to Chukha by hiring a private taxi.
By Road
The easiest way to reach Bhutan via road is to take a bus from Esplanade Bus station in Kolkata to Bhutan’s capital city Thimphu. From here, there are regular buses to Chukha, hence sorting out your travel if you are on a budget. In case you choose comfort over money, then you can hire a private taxi from Thimphu to Chukha.
