In addition to this, the annual Tshechu is yet another festival held in the Gangtey Monastery with the traditional mask dances being the star attraction. Tourist can board a flight to Paro and from there book a cab to reach Gangtey covering a distance of approx 166 km. Also, there are bus services available from Thimphu to Wandue Phodrang. Upon reaching Wangdue Phodrang, one can avail a shared taxi or bus to reach Gangety covering a distance of approx 65 km.
