On arrival in Bagdogra, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to Phuentsholing, a small town on the Indo – Bhutan border. Post immigration formalities, you will be transferred to the hotel.

Evening: Visit Tashichho Dzong, this Thimphu Dzong is a famous fortress and a Buddhist monastery in the northern part of the city. This is the official office of the civil government’s head or the Dharma Raja. As one would expect, this is a magnificent place to behold and visit.

After the breakfast, visit Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Statue), the place with a huge statue of Buddha on the top; National Memorial Chorten, the site showcases magnificent Asian architecture, elaborately painted annexes, marvelous mandalas, and a shrine to the King & Folk Heritage Museum.
Visit Sangaygang View Point, Changangkha Monastery, one of the ancient temples of Thimphu Valley. This is the home of gigantic prayer wheels, super-sized sacred scriptures, and most importantly, a sculpted figure of Thousand-armed Avalokitesvara, the lord/master that looks over the troubles/sadness of life, according to the Buddhist faith.
Later, drive to Punakha. On the way, stop at Dochu-La-Pass, known as one of the finest viewpoints of the Eastern Himalayas. On a clear day, you can see the peaks Masangang, Tsendagang, Terigang and Gangkar Punsum (the highest unclimbed mountain in the world).
On reaching DochuLa, admire the view, and walk around the 108 chortens. We then descend through beautiful forest into the Punakha Valley, situated at an altitude of 1,350m. Overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, visit Punakha Dzong, built at the confluence of two major rivers in Bhutan, the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu. It is an exceptionally beautiful sight on sunny days with the reflection of the rivers on its white-washed walls.
Visit Chimi Lhakang, trek for 20 minutes through the agricultural fields of rice and mustard to access the monastery. Popularly known as The Fertility Temple by westerners, the monastery idyllically stands on a round hillock surrounded by scenic views. Built over half a millennium ago, it’s one of the oldest monasteries in Bhutan
Later, drive to Paro (7,483 ft.). On arrival, hotel check-in. Overnight stay in Paro.
After breakfast, hike to the famous Taktsang Monastery, Bhutan’s most iconic landmark and religious site. Also known as Tiger’s Nest Monastery, this temple is one of the most holy sites in the kingdom and clings to a sheer cliff face at a height of 900 meters above the Paro Valley (2hrs hike from the base camp).
Afternoon: Visit Ta Dzong – National Museum with an excellent collection of arts, relics, religious thangkha, etc. Rinpung Dzong – Meaning “fortress of the heap of jewels”. The dzong now serves as the administrative and judicial seat of Paro. Overnight stay in Paro.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Phuentsholing. On arrival, hotel check-in. Overnight stay at Phuentsholing.
