At Paro International Airport, you will be greeted by our executive who will further help you transport to your hotel. Post lunch, drive to the north of Paro valley toward the bank of Paro Chu (river) which is known for ibisbill (bird) population. In the evening, visit Paro’s main shopping district.

In the morning, after the breakfast, we will visit the National Museum in Paro. Also known as Ta Dzong, the museum exhibits antique Thangkas, textiles, weapons and armours, household objects and rich assortment of natural and historic artifacts. After the completion of the sightseeing in Paro, we will head to Thimphu and will visit Thimphu Dzong, which is also the seat of the King of Bhutan. In the afternoon, we will drive towards the north of Thimphu Valley to Dodina for birdwatching. The place is famous for Black-faced Laughing Thrust, Brown Dipper, Spotted Laughing Thrust, and Fire-Capped Tit.

Today, after the breakfast, we will head to Punakha via the famous Dochula Pass where 108 chortens stand as the memoirs built by the present Queen Mother of Bhutan Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck to commemorate Bhutan’s victory.
In this area, you can spot birds like Satyr Tragopan, Spotted Nutcracker, Large Hawk Cuckoo, Darjeeling Woodpecker, Yellow billed Magpie, Chest Tailed Minla, Collard Blackbird, Ultramarine Flycatcher, Brown Bullfinch, etc. We will also be visiting the popular attraction of Bhutan, Punakha Dzong which is known for its architecture.

In the morning, we shall drive to Menchuna for birdwatching in cold broad-leaved forests. The birds sighted here are Scarlet Finch, Black Drongo, Chestnut bellied Nuthatch, Slaty-backed Forktail, Gorgeted Flycatcher, White throated Laughing thrust, Eurasian Jay, Wedge-Tailed Green Pigeon, Mountain Imperial Pigeon, Verditer Flycatcher, etc. After full day birding, we will return to the hotel in Punakha for an overnight stay.
In the morning, post breakfastm we will drive to Tashithang for birding in warm broad-leaved forest. The birds sighted here are Great Barbet, Barred Cuckoo Drove, Magpie Robin, Green Magpie, Palla’s Fish Eagle, Osprey, River Lapwing, Ruddy Shelduck, Eurasian Wigeon, Common Merganser, Pied Kingfisher, Red-vented Bulbul, Golden throated Barbet, Golden throated Barbet, Kalij, Pheasant, Orange bellied Leaf bird, Common Buzzard, Great Cormorant, Crested Bunting, etc. Return in the evening to the hotel in Punakha for an overnight stay.
Today, after the breakfast, we will drive to Gangtey via Wangdue, one of the major towns and district headquarters of Western Bhutan. After reaching the hotel in Gangtey also known as Phobjikha Valley and resting for sometime, we shall head out for an afternoon walk into the habitat of cranes, we will also visit the crane centre situated in the heart of the valley.

Early morning, we shall indulge in the studies of the behaviour of the cranes and other birds inhabiting the region. Later, we will drive to Trongsa via the Pelela Pass (3,300m) and Chendebji Chorten. The birds sighted here are Mountain Bulbul, Striated Bulbul, common Kestrel, Spot-winged Grosbeak, Mountain Hawk Eagle, ward’s Trogon, Satyr Tragopan, Whiskered Yuhina, Wall Creeper, Himalayan Swiftlet, Himalayan Monal Pheasant, Blood Pheasant, Snow Pigeon, Cross bills, Fire-tailed Sun bird, Plain Mountain Finch, etc.

In the morning today, we will drive towards the south of Trongsa to the valley of Tingtibi for birding at Yeshi Zam, known for spotting Yellow-rumped Honey Guide. We shall be birdwatching in cold broad-leaved forests of Namling, which has unexplored forest in Bhutan. Here, the bird species that can be spotted are Ward’s Trogon, Satyr Tragopan, Grey-chinned Minivet, Chestnut breasted Partridge, Striated Laughing thrust, etc.

Today, our birding site will be the warm broad-leaved forests where bird species like Rufous-necked hornbill, Blue throated bee-eater, Maroon Oriole, Racket-tailed Drongo, Red-headed Trogon, Grey Treepie, Grey Nightjar, Hill Prinia, Asian Emerald Cuckoo, Great hornbill, etc. can be seen.

We will start our day with a drive to the south of Trongsa in to the valley of Tingtibi for birding in Yeshi Zam, which is known for spotting Yellow-rumped honey guide. We will be birding in cold broad-leaved forests in Namling areas.

Today, early morning, we will drive to Thimphu over the Pelela and Dochula pass and enroute visit Wangdue Dzong. Dinner and overnight stay in Thimphu.
