How to Reach Trongsa?

Located right in the centre of Bhutan, Trongsa is a beautiful tourist destination which is situated quite high up a cliff with stunning views of the Black Mountains. Reaching here is quite easy as tourists can either choose to travel by air or by road.

By Air

The nearest airport to Trongsa is Bhutan’s only airport i.e., Paro International Airport. The airport is located at a distance of approx 230 km from Trongsa and has flight connectivity to and from the countries including Thailand, India, Bangladesh, Singapore and Nepal. Upon reaching Paro, tourists can hire a cab for the onward journey to Trongsa.

By Road

Yet another option to travel Trongsa is by road which is convenient. There many bus services which connect Trongsa to places other tourist destinations like Thimphu and Jakar. The distance of Trongsa from Thimphu is approx 192 and from Jakar is approx 66 km.
