Amanbagh Hotel
The Amanbagh is every bit a contemporary resort, which is developed in the present, but reflects the traditional architecture and design of the past. It has derived its name from aman, meaning 'peace' in Sanskrit and bagh, meaning 'garden' in Hindi. The Amanbagh was once used by the Maharajah of Alwar to site his mobile hunting camps in search of the tigers and was abandoned since a long time. However, the tree and vegetation around the palace continue to grow due to a reliable source of underground water. Today, the place is called as 'Mughal Palace," thanks to its wonderful architecture & design and lush green gardens that surrounds the building.
The accommodation options of the resort consist of luxurious and elegantly furnished suites with high-end facilities. It features many adorable Mughal-like domes, a big swimming pool, stunning gardens, refreshing restaurants & bars, well-managed library, and rejuvenating Spa & Yoga center. The resort has made excellent use of sandstone and pale-pink marble that adds more charm to the beauty of this stunning palace. The Amanbagh has won the Gallivanter's Guide Editor's Choice Awards for best Hotel of the Year in 2008.
