SeaWorld opened the region’s first marine life theme park in Abu Dhabi on May 23rd. Developed in partnership between SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment and Miral Real Estate Developers, this park offers a majestic experience in the world of marine life and educates visitors about these amazing creatures of nature. It marks a significant milestone in the history of Abu Dhabi tourism, as the city now boasts four theme parks, including Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, and CLYMB Abu Dhabi. Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue serves as the first and only integrated research, rescue, rehabilitation, return, and education center in the MENA region.
Spread over 183,000 square meters, this five-storey theme park offers a great opportunity for tourists to live among and spend time with sea creatures. Upon entering, guests are greeted with awe-inspiring infrastructure and the use of technology that immerses them in the world of marine life. As you step into SeaWorld, you will immediately sense a transformation in your surroundings. With captivating visuals of marine life and background music, SeaWorld warmly welcomes you to embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey.
The theme park features eight realms, namely Endless Ocean, Tropical Ocean, Rocky Realm, Abu Dhabi Ocean, Arctic, Antarctica, and Micro Ocean. Connecting all of them together is One Ocean, where visitors can enjoy a 360-degree media experience and observe the animal care center, where vet experts work. Fun facts can be found in almost every corner of SeaWorld.
Endless Ocean: With a marine life collection of 68,000 animals, including sharks, stingrays, octopuses, and schools of fish, this realm offers a unique and immersive experience. Diving and underwater walking are among the major highlights of this realm.
Tropical Ocean: Inspired by the Amazon rainforest, this is the largest realm among the eight. It is home to a diverse variety of birds and animals, and there are activities that will make you fall in love with them. You can encounter flamingos, macaws, dolphins, and various other species here.
Rocky Point: This realm is home to sea lions, seals, and other mammals. Visitors can enjoy animal presentations featuring sea lions, seals, and otters. Pelicans and cormorants can also be found in this area.
Abu Dhabi Ocean: This section highlights the marine life of Abu Dhabi and the Arabian Gulf. With Arabesque architecture, it provides an insight into the Bedouin family and the history of pearl traders. Two live shows hosted by Naham Theatre showcase the history of pearl diving, mermaids, and dugongs.
Arctic: This section, along with Antarctica, is inspired by the Polar Ocean theme and offers breathtaking visuals. Tourists can experience the region’s seasonal temperatures and observe walruses, otters, and other marine life in this realm. The main attraction in this realm is the Hypersphere 360-degree ride, an immersive multimedia sphere that takes visitors on a marine journey.
Antarctica: This is the second Polar Ocean-inspired realm, but here you can find various kinds of penguins. Additionally, there is the Penguin Play, an elevated structure with climbing nets and slides.
Micro Ocean: Micro Ocean is an adventure zone where kids can have fun and ride on marine life-inspired adventures. There are shops to rejuvenate if one finds themselves low on energy, as well as opportunities to explore some great delicacies.
