‘Nahargarh Fort’ is one of the most visited forts in Jaipur, and it is fancied by many, especially for its scenic view of the entire city. Besides, one great touristy advantage of the fort is also because many bollywood movies like Rang De Basanti, Jodha Akhbar, Shudh Desi Romance were shot here. Well, not many of you know but Nahargarh Fort was once a safest hiding place in Jaipur, at the time of wars, the royalty from different kingdoms use to guard themselves safe in Nahargarh fort. Besides, the fort has huge-designed walls that seem to be a barrier or like border fences that covers and connects the entire Nahargarh fort to Jaigarh fort. This fort was originally known as ‘Sudharshangarh,’ but was later changed to Nahargarh which means ‘Abode of Tigers’. The reason behind the name was because it was clearly a tiger hunting place.
