Mangueshi Temple

Reckoned to be one of the largest temples in Goa, Mangueshi shrine is situated in Mangueshi Village in Priol. The main deity in the temple is that of God Manguesh, who is believed to be the incarnation of Lord Shiva. Seeing a complete renovation in 1619, The Church of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception is a riot of heavy ornamentation. Reis Magos Fort

Another interesting point of attraction in North Goa, Reis Magos Fort is named after Reis Magos, a village on the bank of River Mandovi in Badrez. Around eight-kilometre-drive from Panjim, the capital town of Goa through narrow roads lined by coconut trees will take you to the fort. Basilica of Bom Jesus

A renowned Catholic church, which is the oldest one in Goa, Basilica of Bom Jesus is famous for its astonishing baroque architecture. A site of World Heritage declared by UNESCO, Basilica of Bom Jesus was built in 1594 and houses the remains of St. Francis Xavier and St. Ignatius Loyola, the founders of the Society of Jesus. Besides the marvellous architecture, another astounding fact of the church is the remains of the founders, which are still in good condition. Located around 10 km from Panjim Town, the facade of the church showcases triangular roofing with carvings of IHS (Jesus, Saviour of Men). Basilica of Bom Jesus is the only church in Old Goa which has not been plastered outside.
