For
those who wish to trace the life of Mahatma Gandhi, the
logical place to begin would be Porbandar. It was here that Gandhiji
was born and adjoining his ancestral home, called Kirti Mandir,
is where Kasturba Gandhi came into the world. Both place are open
to public. A library, a photographic exhibition and some personal
things are on display here.
